Story
Sudigali Sudheer is known as Gaalodu in his village as he is not at all serious in life. He escapes to Hyderabad and helps the hero played by Gehna Sippy in an incident. Impressed by this, he hires her as his driver and also falls in love with her. But as in all movies, the hero's father gets angry and tries to stop the relationship. How the couple gets out of this situation is the story of the film.
Extra Points
The film is an ordinary love story, but Sudigali Sudheer stands out. He is great and has a solid screen presence. Everyone will be shocked to see the dance in the movie. As for the dances, she is good as the star hero. Massive fights and attitude suits Sudheer very well and will be liked by many.
Gehna Sunny plays the female lead and she was good in her role. He shares good chemistry with the hero. Saptagiri and Shakalaka Shankar were good in comedy roles.
One of the biggest assets of the film is its music by Bheems Ciciroleo. All the songs are great and shot very well. The climactic battle is well designed.
Negative points
The film has no story and is weak in the emotional department. The first part has no story as the introduction of the hero and mass shooting overwhelm the audience. They look good on Sudheer but they drag for no reason.
The director has decided to feature Sudheer in a massive way, which sounds good but is taken to an extreme and he looks over the top. There was absolutely no need for so much hero rise in so many scenes and it bores the audience.
The actual plot is water thin and there is no twist in the film. The hero's father is basic and the cast is very lackluster. It's the same with the main villain.
The heroine falls in love with an unethical hero and the reason why she is crazy about him is not clearly established. Also, the climax is rushed and the court scenes seem completely silly after a while. There is no seriousness in the first half of the film.
Technical Aspects
As said earlier, Bheems music is simply amazing and so was his BGM. The locations and choreography for the songs were also impressive. Along with the production values, the dialogues and camera work were also neat.
As for director Rajasekhar, he has done a bad job with the film as his story lacks luster. His concentration on music, dancing and fighting is good, but he goes to throw the castle away. The film lacks any emotion and the supporting cast is weak.
Verdict
All in all, it's a silly action drama with nothing new to show for Gaalod. Sudigali Sudheer is the only consolation as he is perfect with his dances and massive role. But unfortunately the film fails in other departments and ends up being a boring watch this weekend.
